Take Advantage Of Permanent Voters’ Card Distribution, Akpabio Urges Nigerians

Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State has called on all Nigerians of voting age to take advantage of the permanent voters’ cards to enable them exercise their franchise in the forthcoming elections.



Akpabio said this yesterday when he participated in the exercise with his wife, Unoma Akpabio in the state.

Addressing the people at one of the registration centres, Governor Akpabio said that the future of democracy in Nigeria depended on voters’ full participation in the exercise.

The distribution of permanent voters’ cards by the INEC commenced nationwide on Friday.



The electoral commission had said that the permanent voters would be used in the 2015 General Election that is less than 10 months from now.



However, the exercise which recorded an impressive turn out in the state.
