Kim Kardashian's family have started arriving in Paris ahead of her wedding extravaganza - but they don't exactly appear to be giddy with excitement ahead of the big day.

Her sister Kourtney, 35, struggled to muster much enthusiasm as she touched down with daughter Penelope, one, and son Mason, four, at Charles de Gaulle Airport and headed to the luxurious Hotel George V.

Rob Kardashian, 27, also looked downbeat as he made his way into
the plush establishment, which is just off the Champs-Elysées.

 Of course, Kris Jenner, 58, did a better job of plastering on a smile for the paparazzi.

No one could blame the Kardashians for feeling a little fatigued given this is Kim's third wedding. (She was previously married to producer Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2003 and had a 72-day union with Kris Humphries.)

But it is promising to be the most over-the-top one yet.

There has been much speculation about exactly where Kim and Kanye will wed given the invite did not disclose the location.

The couple are understood to have been refused permission to marry in the Palace of Versailles.

A spokesman for the historic French national monument on the outskirts of Paris made it clear that the American celebrities were not considered distinguished enough for an official ceremony and celebration.

Wedding guests are said to have still been instructed to fly into Paris ahead of a rehearsal dinner on Friday.

Then it has been claimed that everyone will get back in a plane and fly to Fort Belvedere in Florence for the actual wedding.

Elisa Di Lupo, a spokeswoman for the Mayor of Florence, said the couple would wed in Italy next Saturday and revealed they had rented the imposing fort for more than $400,000.

Preparations appear to be underway at the historic building, with deliveries and cranes arriving at the site on Monday.

Kanye revealed last week that the city of Florence is special to the couple because it is where their daughter North was conceived.
